Ghostbusters: The Video Game

Own the Xbox version of this game. Am not a "hardcore game."
For a fan of the Ghostbusters I find this game pretty awesome.
The graphics are great and the story is pretty much like a movie, you go through the game trapping ghosts with the characters from the movie. The voices even sound like the original actors, and If i am not mistaken they are the actual voices of the actors. If not they are very very close.
I also enjoyed the fact that the creators of the movie had a "hand" in making this game, the quality and detail shows up..
This game makes you feel like you are actually catching or "busting" ghosts. It is real work to set a trap, wrangle the ghost, and steer it in without having it escape. Every time you trap a ghost you feel as if you should be paid for doing the job (and you do get paid)! GHostbusters are definitely over worked and under paid!
Awesome game for fans of the movie and for people who play games for fun.. rather than for "hardcore" purposes...

The perfect Ghostbusters game.
This game simulates the Ghostbusters experience perfectly. There's plenty of fanservice, original voices, a great story, great graphics, and decent gameplay. At its core though, its just a mediocre shooter. If you like GBs you'll love this!

Time to Bust Some Ghosts
After Ghostbusters 2 everybody thought that was the last one in the franchise, but now Atari has Ghosterbusters The Video Game which continues off of Ghostbusters 2. The story is great, sound is great, and gameplay is great. Definitely a must buy for ghostbusters fans.

Matt's Review
The Ghostbusters for the 360 and Playstation 3 are almost movie-like in their graphics and game play. The proton packs look real, and the characters look as close as they could with current technology in resembling the characters from the movies. For people who are wondering more about Evo Shandor from the first movie, the game goes into his story much more in depth here. You get to meet(and fight) some of the most influential people in Shandor's cult from the 1920s, like the Chairmen and the Spiderwitch, among other ghost.
The only thing I didn't like about the game was the A.I. When you go down, especially on the harder levels, the other ghostbusters might not come to your rescue in time before being taken down themselves.

Fun for the memories.
Overall the ghost busters is a decent game but it only truly shines for fans of the movies who want a taste of that sweet nostalgia. If the game wasn't focused around some of our favorite childhood heroes i don't know if i would rent or buy. However at it's current price it might be cheaper just to buy the game and have a permanent ghostbusters bookmark in your video game library.
