Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

This game is cool. I bought it for my nephew so he would have a different game to play on my PS3 when he comes over, but I really enjoy it too! I just think it is amazing that the game incorporates the World of Harry Potter so completely. The only thing is some of the characters' eyes are creepy!

The Story
In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince the Video Game, Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort’s defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information.

Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn't counted on Romilda Vane’s chocolates. And then there’s Hermione, simmering with jealously, but determined not to show her feelings. Yet as romance blossoms throughout Hogwarts, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.

Potter
I bought this for my 10 yr old son.The coolest thing was i had to play it also. we had fun. Our fav part was the games.

Fine for what I paid.
I got this new on Amazon for $[...]. While it's certainly not the most fun or enthralling game I've played, it's entertaining. The plot loosely follows the movie, but the main story is fairly short. The graphics are below average by PS3 standards, although the sound is decent. The mini-quests (gathering crests, potions club, dueling club, and quiditch club) add replay value. The in-game duels are fun, but the multi-player duels are awkward. If you're a Harry Potter fan and for the price I paid, I recommend it.

Great adventure and challenging for young ones
Wii games are played by my 2 daughters, 10 and 21. They enjoyed the game immensely. It's been played though a couple of times now.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Game of the Year Edition

This game is a blast (If you would pardon the pun.) It may be a bit dated but it still provides one of the best online multiplayer shooter experiences available for PC gamers. The campaign is interesting and adequately challenging but feels a bit short. There continues to be a decent sized community playing online.
I recommend this game if one is looking for a good shooter but has a machine that cannot support some of the newest games.

Still good, but ridiculously short
COD4 MW is the same formula they have been using for years, but chasing a terrorist instead of WW2. It is still entertaining, but is getting a bit stale. It does not let you save games when you want, which is annoying. The game is also very short, shorter than most expansion packs. Considering the high price, it should be a lot longer. At least there is no intrusive DRM, so installation and running was no problem.

You all know
It's amazing... I'm old and still have fun shooting it up :)
Buy the game.

Fun to play, but Single Player is way too short.
No spoilers here.

I would have given this game 5 Stars if the Single Player Mode was longer. The Graphics and Sound are really good. The gameplay is very realistic.

This game installed and played very smoothly on Xp and Vista(32 and 64). However, (here's a fair warning)it didn't function properly on Windows 7 (32 or 64).

Street Fighter IV

Filed Under (Action Games Reviews) by admin on 12-07-2009

Tacky tag line but, had to be done.
Cliche 101.

Hands down Street Fighter all the way in the new sense. Being broke in on SF II old school style in the arcades pretty much established a lofty set of goals, that to this day, everyone is still searching for in this title. I think the essence of what Street Fighter is is present like a ghost haunting your home and surfaces from time to time but, is still hard to finger out consistently.

The game itself, without comparison to the arcade days of old SF II, is extremely playable on all the platforms for which it was released. I have it for the P.C. and was quite impressed that a fighter style game could port to a computational platform this well. The game is breath taking graphically in allot of ways and has re-playability on many levels that a game in this genre really doesn't have to support like so many others.

This installment of the SF platformer holds true with the SF mainstream and has found wide acceptance by the SF community where allot of the previous installments fell slightly short of order.

This game is still quite playable and enjoyable for any die hard P.C. gamer purists and anyone whom wishes to play SF but, doesn't want to shell out the bucks for Super Street Fighter IV yet.

The P.C. version of SF IV works out of the box with an XBox 360 control pad plugged into your system via the USB port. Capcom really planned and executed the P.C. port with great intelligence and professionalism. You really cannot tell that you are playing SF on a P.C. This title really kind of sets a standard for platform management regarding game translations between systems. It is that well done.

Enjoy!

What Was Old is New Again
Knowing a good thing when they see it, Capcom has gone to great lengths to ensure that everything that made the legendary Street Fighter II a hit in the arcades, living rooms and dormitories across the globe all those years ago has been brought back in Street Fighter IV, and this naturally starts with the characters. Fans of the franchise, as well as the fighting genre in general, will be happy to know that whether you prefer to stick with the superior abilities of top tier characters or explore the ins and outs of mid to lower level combatants, when it comes time to pick your fighter there is a wide array of choices. Also, not only will players be able to play as and against their favorite classic characters, such as Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Guile, Zangief, Blanka, Sagat, etc., they will also be able to take on new characters. Just a few of these include:

Abel from 'Street Fighter IV' Abel
This young French amnesiac comes from a mixed martial arts and mercenary background and is dedicated to chasing down the remnants of Shadaloo.
Crimson Viper from 'Street Fighter IV' Crimson Viper
This tough and beautiful agent assumes a businesslike demeanor, ignoring all emotion and obligation to her fellow man. She wears a high-tech suit filled with deadly gadgetry..
El Fuerte from 'Street Fighter IV' El Fuerte
This fighter divides his time between perfecting his Lucha Libre skills and his cooking abilities, yet surprisingly his indomitable spirit is a match for even the legendary Red Cyclone.
Rufus from 'Street Fighter IV' Rufus
This portly fighter has declared himself America's greatest fighter and uses his own brand of Kung Fu in his decidedly one-sided rivalry with Ken for top dog in the States.

In addition, characters and environments are rendered in stylized 3D, while the game is played in the classic Street Fighter 2D perspective with additional 3D camera flourishes. Six-button controls for the game return, with a host of new special moves and features integrated into the gameplay system. Street Fighter IV brings a brand new fighting game to fans the world over.

Key Game Features:

  • 3D environments and characters.
  • Traditional "2D" Street Fighter six-button gameplay.
  • Classic Street Fighter characters re-imagined for a new generation of gamers, including the original cast of Street Fighter II.
  • New brawlers: female super-spy Crimson Viper, lucha libre wrestler El Fuerte, mixed martial artist Abel and more.
  • New special moves that go beyond any Street Fighter fan's wildest imagination, including Focus Attacks, Super Combos, and the revenge-fueled Ultra Combo system.
  • Amazing locations never seen before in a Street Fighter game.
  • New gameplay elements provide challenges for both newcomers as well as the most seasoned Street Fighter pro.
  • Games for Windows LIVE online support.
New Combat Features: Focus Attacks and Ultra Combos
Although Street Fighter IV is designed to draw heavily from past game features in its franchise history, it does offer some stunning new gameplay options. The first of these are Focus Attacks. These moves allow players to absorb the energy from an attack and quickly counter with their own. Used properly, Focus Attacks allow for tremendous flexibility during combat and are the end result of efforts by the game's development team to evolve combat away from the rigid memorization of set combination patterns, giving players the freedom to be creative against opponents. The other new combat feature are new powered up moves called Ultra Combos. Like standard combos their purpose is to unleash maximum damage on an opponent, but unlike the combos of old, when performed correctly these long strings of punches, kicks and moves result in changes to the in-game camera angle and quick cinematics which illustrate the strength of your skills like never before. Taken together, these two new features herald Street Fighter IV as the new king of the fighter genre and a force to be reckoned with for years to come.

greatest fighter ever!
I have been playing street fighter IV since it came out well over a year ago and I'm still enjoying this game. You can certainly argue that buying the upgraded SUPER street fighter IV is the way to go, but for you still can't go wrong with the original. I grew up playing street fighter II casually in the 90s and hadn't touched a fighting game since then. I immediately fell back in love with fighting games when I picked up street fighter IV. The graphics are beautiful and are the fully realized vision of the original street fighter characters that just wasn't possible in the early 90s. The controls are fantastic (although a joystick would be nice, but I'm too cheap to spring for it) and I love playing people all over the world with the on-line mode. The connection quality is usually quite good, but I should mention that the "strength of connection" bar they give you doesn't always predict which fights will have lag and which won't.

Overall the best fighter I have a ever played and almost 2 years later I am still picking up new characters and learning nuances of the characters I have been playing up until now. The quality of competition on-line has gone noticeably down since super street fighter IV came out, but I really don't care because I just like to play and at some point playing hard-core players gets really tiring too. However, I do have to admit that playing players better than myself has forced me to improve my game considerably, overall increasing the fun of the game.

for this game may be the best video game deal out there right now. If you still haven't picked this up, the time is now!

Great Game - Thanks
Great game - good mix of action and graphics - even for an old school SF2 player. Havent played a Street fighter series game since the Sega Genesis and think this one maybe the best one yet.

Shoryuken means business!
A heavyweight! A sure winner! 5 out of 5 stars it will leave you stunned and wanting for more... *The Best!* This takes Martial Arts to a real Fine Art!

Street fighter IV, the jam packed arcade fighting handsome game title from Capcom is mean! It's both a gorgeous display of muscle-bound animation and seriously fun gameplay. *I just love the muscles!* This ultimately translates to goodness when you see it come to life (even when simply setting up a battle of CPU vs. CPU; if you simply want to be introduced to the characters' various fighting techniques ie, plain tired or if you are a complete newbie).

Of course playing with your choice character and there are 16 pre-given ones, whether against a CPU opponent or an actual player (beside you or via network) is the "heart of the game". It's an understated value that you can set the difficulty level to "Easiest" when you have no clue what this title is all about and you bought it solely for its gorgeous anime appeal! Enough said. Anyone who's curious to find out what the hullabaloo about playing on a console is should have this title! (Capcom, how much you giving me for this?)

I've probably seen this game before but when I see it now, I can't believe how utterly perfect it has evolved to be! So vibrant in both rendering and actual gameplay...you'd swear something Japanese like "Shoryuken!...and the world is fine.) So is hand-to-hand combat! Perfect!

My PSN ID: adorinar. Come play!

Great
The game is great. The deliver was in time and the disc came with no problems, no complains. Thanks to Amazon and Hitgaming.

Street Fighter IV MadCatz Bundle

I guess I was expecting more 3d or something else looks like Street Fighter Alpha!

The ability to choose multiple characters makes this a fun game to play also the controller is nice however to pull off the difficult moves it would be easier with a fight stick. I don't like the d-pad at all have to press really hard to actually pull off the difficult moves. I have not been able to unlock the final two characters yet. I'm also very disappointed that I have to log onto windows live on startup each time. That is a real pain especially since you want to play solo at times without being bothered by this.

I also had problems playing this the first time the DRM of the disc said I didn't have DMA turned on my dvd drive, but I did so I had to turn it on and off again before I was able to play this game.

If you are on a budget I would buy the regular version without the controller and then invest in a good stick for this game.

Except for these minor qualms I am very satisfied with this game its fun and it has lots of eye candy and hidden character to make you not want to put it down. If for whatever reason you get sick of it you can accept challenges and fight anyone. As soon as I turn it on someone always wants to challenge me I don't even have time to blink when the game gets old in a couple of years the challenges will be infrequent so enjoy it now while you can.

The reasons I gave it a 4 is for all those reasons cited above plus it takes about 4 some odd gig of disk space so if you have a small drive be warned I installed this on my Windows 7 test 40 gig partition and I had only 12 gigs and now with the game installed I only have 8 now.

Great game; just need a slightly higher-ended PC to run smoothyly
Street Fighter IV is overall a great game with awesome graphics and great soundtrack. The only unfortunate thing for me is that my PC can't handle the graphics requirement and therefore suffers from periods of extreme lags. So, before you get all excited for the game, check to be sure that your PC has enough power to handle it. Because of this game, I also got introduced to XboxLive/WindowsLive environment - you have to connect in order to play it seems... Can't say that I necessarily like it because I'd guess that part of the lag is due to this requirement. Wish I could just play offline.

Anyway, all that aside, 5 stars for this game! The controller is also quite suitable for the game. :)

Incredible Game and Good Controller
Street Fighter IV is a return to form for CAPCOM as they have produced a game that not only has the old Street Fighter feel but features new and evolved gameplay. First off the gameplay is still 2d but many of the characters and moves have been slightly tweaked from older versions of Street Fighter. Both the casual gamer and enthusiast will enjoy Street Fighter IV as it is the classic "easy to play, difficult to master" game.

The extra features added to the game like online play and trial modes give the game needed boosts for Street Fighter to keep pace in the new millennium. Online play is great with little lag while trial modes reward you for using every character. Gameplay and feature there is almost nothing to detract from this game. Performance wise the game runs on my 3 year old machine at max settings and max resolution with zero slowdown (even with 16x AA enabled).

The MadCatz controller that comes bundled with this game is good but could be a little more sturdy - it has held up after heavy use, but its not made of the same high quality materials as a normal 360 controller. It has a floating D-Pad and 6 face buttons like the old Sega Genesis controller - making it a lock for any fighting game. I would definitely consider it the best contoller I have for any fighting games and playing emulators (driver support is built into windows xp standard).

Overall I believe if you do not have a Fightpad and you want to play Street Fighter IV or emulators you should get this bundle as its reduced price on both the game and Fightpad make this an excellent deal.

Just the best fighting game
I've always been a Street Fighter addict.

I like some other fighting games but none of them is as good as SF4.

It's fun, balanced, impressive!

Fallout 3 Collector's Edition

Truly a masterpiece.
What can I say? As an RPG fan, I spent 70 hours on FF7 back in the day, until there was nothing else to do but beat the Emerald weapon. Once that was done I was disappointed it was over.

This is the game that keeps on giving. I've been on it over 150 hours and still haven't done everything there is to do. I have two of the expansion packs by the way.

It's a gritty, dirty looking game with pretty nice graphics, if that makes any sense. It's totally addicting in my opinion and I've spent 12 hours on it in a day before.

For me to write a huge review about all the things I love about this game would be far to time consuming to write and read. For me to list just some of the things I like about it would be a crime. If you like expansive, epic RPGs, travelling along a map freely, and doing missions as you please... You will love it too.

It's a must, must, must buy. Best game I ever played.

Fallout 3 Collector\'s Edition

Product Description:
Fallout 3 from the creators of the award-winning Oblivion, featuring one of the most realized game worlds ever created. Create any kind of character you want and explore the open wastes of post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. Every minute is a fight for survival as you encounter Super Mutants, Ghouls, Raiders and other dangers of the Wasteland. Prepare for the future.
Amazon.com:
The third game in the Fallout series, Fallout 3 is a singleplayer action role-playing game (RPG) set in a post-apocalyptic Washington DC. Combining the horrific insanity of the Cold War era theory of mutually assured destruction gone terribly wrong, with the kitschy naivety of American 1950s nuclear propaganda, Fallout 3 will satisfy both players familiar with the popular first two games in its series as well as those coming to the franchise for the first time.

Age Of Empires Collector's Edition (Limited Edition)

Filed Under (Action Games Reviews) by admin on 03-07-2009

So, this is a pretty old set of games (especially the first one in the set), but it's still what I would call unique - yeah the graphics are bad but overall they did give a nice sense of time setting (ancient and medieval) and I've seen people have a lot of fun making scenarios reenacting all sorts of battles, historical and imagined.

Not a game that you'd probably play for a week and get tired of, but something that would take you in and leave a feeling of a game well played...

But, the main reason I might have written this review is more about the compatibility problems - The games run fine on Windows XP (the first is iffy but it still works) AND on Windows Vista/7 (only AOE 2 + expansion).

However, you will definitely run into glitches - For the second game there is a driver issue with the mouse THAT CANNOT be fixed, only temporarily avoided by the usual gamut of reinstallation and crying, etc. (This issue rarely pops up but when it does.....) And in the game community there is the infamous "toxic waste" problem - most graphics drivers can't handle the oldness and will wack out - everything turns neon and bright, like toxic waste (hence the name) - this issue can be fixed by alt+tabbing

yet, even with these problems I would say that it is DEFINITELY worth buying, I had a lot of fun with this game as a child and still do. I mean seriously, you won't miss those ten dollars you spent, lol

LOVE.
What is there to say?!
Super cheap, was exactly what the description said it was going to be.
I have no issues with it, it runs on Vista and Win 7 even though the games are old.

Super fun blast from the past- I'd recomend in a heart beat.
If you're on the fence- just buy it. You'll be glad you did, no matter if you're a vetran player or first time owner :)
Age of Empires was so classic- but two and three are amazing also. They're games that everyone can enjoy- I remeber playing when I was seven or eight and now I'm in college and still adore these games.
Shipping was fast too!
Awesome games.

top-of-the-line classic game
this game was my favorite growing up (the first one) and i still like it now. it's very dated but it still has fun factors when you just wanna get back to the basics.

i would recommend this game for the great price it's at (i grabbed it for [...]).

Fun game for the whole family
Since this is such a great price, I purchased 3 sets of the Age of Empires software game. This is so much fun, and we play as a whole family. Both of my kids are in elementary school, and they learned the game quickly. We battled each other, and other times, we play in the same team and battle the computer. You have choices of what army you want to build, and if you want to be by a coast where you can build fishing, transport, or battle ships. Lots of fun. The only complaint I have is when the CDs arrived, the center plastic clips that holds the CDs together broke off. Since it's a great price, I had to give it 5 stars.

Overlord 2

Overlord 2

This is a rare game style, because not only are you the bad guy, but you are a seriously bad dude, and not in the same moronic way as you would in the Grand Theft Auto series. What I mean is that you play a Sauron-esque Lich-like creature with great magical powers of mental domination and typical demonic power. You are placed in a Tolkien-esque world that literally does not leave a single cliche out to make fun of. This game is by far the best game I have played and I own 45 games at the moment. I am not even a strategy style gamer. This is a light-hearted game with its humor but it is very sadistic as well. Probably not the greatest game for kids due to the crude adult humor and the whole murdering entire villages and ensclaving the human race, but there is not blood and it is light-hearted in that you are the most powerful being in the world yet you command a horde (up to 50!!) of what could only be called Goblins from J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy series The Lord of the Rings.

This game seeks to make fun of every cliche while itself plays out those cliches at the same time. It is just hilarious and sick, yet not too sadistic. You command up to 50 golblins who have the ability to either be a great fighter, great swimmer, shoot fireballs/immune to fire, or stealth/immune to poison. All of them are fighters, but the great fighters are by far the toughest. All others will drown except the swimmers, yet all will be burned except the fire goblins and all will be poisoned except the stealth/poison goblins. So you see, there is a lot of strategy involved. Each type of goblin is earned in a sequence and allow for progression. For instance, certain areas will have water so you cannot get by unless you have the blue goblins who can swim, etc etc.

A wonderful game and the secon din the series. This game is much more compatible than the first one which catered to Nvidia GPU's. All overlord games are intensive on CPU's due to the intense processes involved, so make sure your PC is strong enough.

5 Stars!

Overlord II is the sequel to the hit warped fantasy action adventure that had players being delightfully despotic. In Overlord II, a new Overlord and a more powerful army of Minions take on the Glorious Empire, an advanced Romanesque nation, in a truly epic, yet familiarly warped, adventure. As the Glorious Empire conquers kingdoms and destroys any sign of magic it finds, it’s time to go Minion Maximus with a rousing cry of “Veni, Vidi, Vici” and send in the horde. The Minions return smarter, deadlier (and funnier) and are ready to fight in large scale battles that will see their wild pack mentality squaring up to the organised legions of the Glorious Empire. As ever, they’ll do anything and everything the Overlord commands of them, especially now that they can run ravage and wreck buildings and scenery. Story
Overlord II picks up right where the previous game left off. In it the original overlord is no more, and in his absence the order of things have changed dramatically. The comically evil, but still deadly gremlin-like army known as Minions are lost without a leader to focus their chaotic power for good, ill or both. Yet change finally appears to be in the air. Sensing that something is afoot, the Minion horde has made its way north to the town of Nordberg. Here they find a male child the likes of which has not been seen since the coming of the original overlord. This child is obviously special, but time is short and he has much to learn. In recent days a new power has arisen, known as the "Glorious Empire." Based in Roman-like legionary tactics, the power of this new enemy is being used to take over all the relinquished territories of the old overlord, and to extinguish all the magic in the land in order to weaken all potential enemies. As the new overlord it's your task to gain all the strength and skills you can, harness the power of the Minion horde and take back what is yours.

Gameplay - Destroy or Dominate
Overlord II features a brand new corruption system that empowers players to enact their evil will through either domination or destruction. Play as a dominating Overlord and villages and people will fall under your command with rewards and benefits coming over time. Follow a destructive path, obliterating anything that stands in your way, and you’ll become a demonic lord of chaos. The choice is yours.

Manage Your Minions
Effective control your Minions was a big part of Overlord, and in Overlord II all four varieties of Minions return smarter, deadlier (and funnier) and are ready to fight in large scale battles that will see their wild pack mentality squaring up to the organized legions of the Glorious Empire. As in the previous game, they'll do anything and everything their overlord commands of them, especially now that they can run ravage and wreck buildings and scenery and each have their own specialty in combat; Browns are the main general use soldier units, Reds with their fire-throwing ability are useful for long-range combat, Greens are experts at stealth maneuvers and Blues provide support and healing to other Minions. In addition, they've also learned a powerful new skill, how to ride. Three of the four kinds of Minions feature exclusive mounts: Browns on wolves, Greens on giant spiders that can climb walls and the Reds on salamanders. Atop their mounts these merry fighters are faster, and stronger than ever before.

Multiplayer Options
Along with a robust single player campaign Overlord II features a wealth of multiplayer play options. Players will enjoy four unique multiplayer campaigns in co-op and versus modes both online and offline, each with their own unique maps. These include:

  • Co-op Modes:
    • Arena Survival – Two players, both as overlords with their own minions, help each other stay alive as they battle against wave after wave of enemies coming at them in an arena setting.
    • Kill A General – Two players, both as overlords with their own minions, go through a series of lands together on a mission to kill a Glorious Empire general.
  • Versus Modes:
    • Treasure Hunt – Two overlords and their minion armies square off against each other to collect gold and other treasure. Whichever overlord has the most treasure at the end of this timed contest wins.
    • King Of The Hill/Capture The Flag – Two overlords and their minions face each other on a battlefield with several hills with flags on top of them. Whoever captures the most flags at the end of this timed event is the winner. Creatures from the overlord world are also on the battlefield wreaking havoc adding an even greater challenge to victory.
Laughter on the Battlefield
Written by award-winning games writer, Rhianna Pratchett, Overlord II puts the laughter into slaughter and continues the series’ trademark humor, playing on the mischievous physical comedy of the minion’s antics with a sprinkling of parody for good measure.

Features:
  • Storyline and action permeated by by the Overlord series trademark physical comedy and parody.
  • Browns, Reds, Blues and Greens return stronger, smarter, faster badder and funnier. Always on the chaotic side of organised anarchy, the Minions are smarter and deadlier in their skills than ever before.
  • Minions will be able to mount up and ride wolves and other magical creatures around the landscape and take them into battle
  • Written by award-winning games writer, Rhianna Pratchett, Overlord II puts the laughter into slaughter and continues the series? trademark humour

Great Game
I enjoyed the first one, but still failed to want to spend [...] on it's sequel, so I waited until it went to [...]... In my opinion this game should never be more then [...], unless they are gonna add extra perks... Still I rather enjoy going around causing terror, being bad or super bad...

Overlord 2
I am a big fan of this series. I may be only rated for teens but I really enjoy playing it and I am 28. All around good fun.

Fun while it lasts
This game is very fun for mindless, senseless minion violence. Like overlord 1, you control a gaggle (this number can be 5-50) of minions to do your bidding and wreak destruction upon the land.

Unlike the first game, this time the setting is in the height of the roman empire rather than medieval times. This game has made massive improvements over its predecessor including better AI, bigger battles, more enemies, and the ability to have all minions except browns not suck! Another benefit is minion health improves based on a rudimentary level system, that way minions aren't determined solely on the goofy junk they pick up from battles. Another thing is there is now more of a magic system other than burn things and make minions angry.

The downside to this game though is this: to get 100% completes it takes an awful lot of effort and time, you can't customize weapons and armor anymore, and the overlord tower is too big for the things that you want to accomplish. The last complaint I have is the enemies/bosses aren't as creative in this game as its previous title, plus there's no expansion pack to get where you can torture said bosses in a mini hell.

I would recommend this game to most everyone who plays games. it's smart, dark, funny, and a great time.

Halo 2

This game works only with Windows 7 and Vista. This port of the Xbox version is great and actually looks much cleaner than the original Xbox version. Games for Windows LIVE is utilized greatly here, you can get achievements, private chat with Xbox 360 or PC LIVE gamers, voice message, give feedback to bad players, mute players, and even see what game your friends are playing on LIVE. This game natively supports the Xbox 360 controller and even lets you use your Xbox headset for voice chat. The dedicated servers for this game is top notch. There is one review here complaining about the "agony" of signing up for a LIVE account, simply that isn't true. It's as easy as signing up for an email account or you can just import your Xbox Live gamertag (if you have one). Basically, if you already have a Microsoft email ([...], [...], [...], etc.) account, the process is even more simplified.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game

Ghostbusters: The Video Game

And I'd add, the third sequel that we've been waiting for as well!)

In a nutshell, this game has the "feel" of being a Ghostbuster as perfect as I imagine it could be, short of being able to own a real unlicensed nuclear accelerator and go hunting for ghosts yourself!

The controls are good, just takes some practice to become a pro ghost-wrangler.

The graphics and voice acting are excellent! As most anyone should know by now, the entire cast returns (sans Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver), and it shows that Dan and Harold had a hand in the script. Everything from the humor, to the techno-speak feels like authentic "Ghostbusters."

If you couldn't tell it, this is coming from a long-time fan of Ghostbusters. For someone totally unfamiliar with the franchise, I'd think there could still be an enjoyable experience to be had - "shooters" are a dime a dozen, but a game with the mechanics of a paranormal 'pest-trapping' agency is something pretty unique.

Matt's Review
The Ghostbusters for the 360 and Playstation 3 are almost movie-like in their graphics and game play. The proton packs look real, and the characters look as close as they could with current technology in resembling the characters from the movies. For people who are wondering more about Evo Shandor from the first movie, the game goes into his story much more in depth here. You get to meet(and fight) some of the most influential people in Shandor's cult from the 1920s, like the Chairmen and the Spiderwitch, among other ghost.

The only thing I didn't like about the game was the A.I. When you go down, especially on the harder levels, the other ghostbusters might not come to your rescue in time before being taken down themselves.

Fun for the memories.
Overall the ghost busters is a decent game but it only truly shines for fans of the movies who want a taste of that sweet nostalgia. If the game wasn't focused around some of our favorite childhood heroes i don't know if i would rent or buy. However at it's current price it might be cheaper just to buy the game and have a permanent ghostbusters bookmark in your video game library.

AWESOME
This game was awesome. If you are a fan of the Ghostbusters movies this is a must have. Story written by the orignal writers the models look just like the actors who also lend their voices. Graphics were great looked just like the movies effects, even switching the gadgets on you backpack was highly detailed and had different animations. Game play was very fun and challenging at times, but always worth the time. Everything about the game was great, I would say a must buy for the PS3. I was not able to try multiplayer, I don't have the system connected to the internet.

The only complaint I have was that it seemed too short for me; I didn't want it to end.

Awesome game that I put off buying for WAY too long
I really wanted to buy this game when it was released, but didn't because of lukewarm reviews and a somewhat boring demo on PSN. I finally made the leap after the price drop, and WOW! What a game. The story is great. The dialogue is priceless. The gameplay is downright awesome. I really enjoyed the single player campaign, but the true fun is in the multiplayer coop challenges. I didn't even know this game had a multiplayer option when I bought it. Needless to say, I regret not buying this game when it came out. Not a mistake I plan to make again, if they decide to release a sequel.
