Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Filed Under (Action Games Reviews) by admin on 20-07-2009

This is my first experience playing a computer game for any length of time. I LOVE it. This game is extremely addictive. As a huge Harry Potter fan, I can tell you that every time you put the CD in your computer, you feel like you're at Hogwarts. The graphics are great, and many cast members lent their voices. There is so much to see and do in this game, and if you are new to the gaming experience, this is a great way to learn.

It does play pretty slowly in my PC--I had to lower the resolution and close any other programs running, but it's still very fun.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort's defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information. The Story
In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince the Video Game, Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort’s defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information.

Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn't counted on Romilda Vane’s chocolates. And then there’s Hermione, simmering with jealously, but determined not to show her feelings. Yet as romance blossoms throughout Hogwarts, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Game of the Year Edition

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Game of the Year Edition

I live in the Caribbean, purchased COD MW on a Thursday and received the game in hand the following Tuesday thus as far as I a concerned amazon gets five stars for efficient shipping as items usually takes a bit longer when purchased from other suppliers (I ship with standard shipping).
The graphics are solid and the single player was not unnecessarily drawn out thus providing an exciting gaming experience that kept me wanting more and this is where the multiplayer comes in. I simply love the multiplayer and it always has me coming back for more the ability to just go online and join any of thousands of servers modded or unmodded is the decisive factor in most of my gaming purchases.
Unfortunately Activision failed to maintain it's multiplayer bliss in MW2 with only boring, laggy and unmodded servers that one has to pay to use. A stupid move in my opinion especially considering the fact that Battlefield Bad Company 2 is right on its heals (sad Activision just sad you let the PC world down).
In view of all of this COD4 Modern Warfare is a great and solid game and a must have for any collection of great games. Modern Warfare 2 on the other hand I'll borrow from a stupid friend that wasted his money to get it.

Great for One Playthrough
Modern Warfare is a thrilling, cinematic experience . . . in your first playthrough. Unfortunately, it has nearly zero replay value in singleplayer. The game is so heavily scripted and linear that it is not worth revisiting. It's really only worth the investment if you don't mind internet multiplayer and dealing with, well, the sort of people who play shooters on the internet.

GREAT VALUE
ACTION-PACKED title. Fun, engaging. If you like an FPS, you'll love this title.

Good but way too short
Good game, graphics ok but could be better compared to Crytek engine games for example.
It's way too short though, I finished it in 2 days at the hardened difficulty. That's a major issue I think.

Quick Service, Cheap Price
Amazon came through again. I bought COD4 for .00 when most all retail stores locally still wanted .99 for it. Can't beat that.

Street Fighter IV

Filed Under (Action Games Reviews) by admin on 12-07-2009

This is the third copy of Street Fighter IV I've purchased. And this version is definitely the best version.

I own a desktop with an Intel Q6600 quad-core processor, 6GB of DDR2 RAM and an ATI 4890 graphics card. The game is able to run with max settings on my 24" Dell LCD.

Now why is this version the best?

A) Capcom included new graphic filters (heavy ink, etc).

B) The game can run at higher resolutions than the console versions with more effects. I currently have the game with 4XAnti-aliasing (the reduction of sharp edges on the polygons).

C) You can use either PS3 or Xbox 360 USB peripherals (Mad Catz Fightstick, Hori EX2, Hori Real Arcade Pro, Mad Catz Fightpad, Sega Saturn USB pad or the other myriad of joysticks available on the market).

D) There is a customization segment that have created new costumes for the characters like M. Bison having a Sub Zero costume or Ken looking like Dante from Devil May Cry.

Now, it's not all paradise. The game doesn't play very well with some ATI Drivers. Also, the game installs the Game For Windows platform onto your PC. My last issue is despite purchasing the title legally, the game can't be installed onto the PC and played without the disc (obviously this is for DRM and to prevent pirating).

As far as the actual game, SFIV is one of the best fighting games ever released. It sold more than 2 million copies in the console market and has definitely reinvigorated the fighting-game scene. The last Evolution Fighting Game Tournament in Las Vegas had more than 1,000 entrants in the SFIV tournament.

What Was Old is New Again
Knowing a good thing when they see it, Capcom has gone to great lengths to ensure that everything that made the legendary Street Fighter II a hit in the arcades, living rooms and dormitories across the globe all those years ago has been brought back in Street Fighter IV, and this naturally starts with the characters. Fans of the franchise, as well as the fighting genre in general, will be happy to know that whether you prefer to stick with the superior abilities of top tier characters or explore the ins and outs of mid to lower level combatants, when it comes time to pick your fighter there is a wide array of choices. Also, not only will players be able to play as and against their favorite classic characters, such as Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Guile, Zangief, Blanka, Sagat, etc., they will also be able to take on new characters. Just a few of these include:

Abel from 'Street Fighter IV' Abel
This young French amnesiac comes from a mixed martial arts and mercenary background and is dedicated to chasing down the remnants of Shadaloo.
Crimson Viper from 'Street Fighter IV' Crimson Viper
This tough and beautiful agent assumes a businesslike demeanor, ignoring all emotion and obligation to her fellow man. She wears a high-tech suit filled with deadly gadgetry..
El Fuerte from 'Street Fighter IV' El Fuerte
This fighter divides his time between perfecting his Lucha Libre skills and his cooking abilities, yet surprisingly his indomitable spirit is a match for even the legendary Red Cyclone.
Rufus from 'Street Fighter IV' Rufus
This portly fighter has declared himself America's greatest fighter and uses his own brand of Kung Fu in his decidedly one-sided rivalry with Ken for top dog in the States.

In addition, characters and environments are rendered in stylized 3D, while the game is played in the classic Street Fighter 2D perspective with additional 3D camera flourishes. Six-button controls for the game return, with a host of new special moves and features integrated into the gameplay system. Street Fighter IV brings a brand new fighting game to fans the world over.

Key Game Features:

  • 3D environments and characters.
  • Traditional "2D" Street Fighter six-button gameplay.
  • Classic Street Fighter characters re-imagined for a new generation of gamers, including the original cast of Street Fighter II.
  • New brawlers: female super-spy Crimson Viper, lucha libre wrestler El Fuerte, mixed martial artist Abel and more.
  • New special moves that go beyond any Street Fighter fan's wildest imagination, including Focus Attacks, Super Combos, and the revenge-fueled Ultra Combo system.
  • Amazing locations never seen before in a Street Fighter game.
  • New gameplay elements provide challenges for both newcomers as well as the most seasoned Street Fighter pro.
  • Games for Windows LIVE online support.
New Combat Features: Focus Attacks and Ultra Combos
Although Street Fighter IV is designed to draw heavily from past game features in its franchise history, it does offer some stunning new gameplay options. The first of these are Focus Attacks. These moves allow players to absorb the energy from an attack and quickly counter with their own. Used properly, Focus Attacks allow for tremendous flexibility during combat and are the end result of efforts by the game's development team to evolve combat away from the rigid memorization of set combination patterns, giving players the freedom to be creative against opponents. The other new combat feature are new powered up moves called Ultra Combos. Like standard combos their purpose is to unleash maximum damage on an opponent, but unlike the combos of old, when performed correctly these long strings of punches, kicks and moves result in changes to the in-game camera angle and quick cinematics which illustrate the strength of your skills like never before. Taken together, these two new features herald Street Fighter IV as the new king of the fighter genre and a force to be reckoned with for years to come.

HADOKEN!!!!
I am very glad to see one of the best fighting game franchises on PC and recreate the experience. Street Fighter 4 is very colorful and unique. Right now i would like to buy a joystiq so my experience can be complete but its still a great game. i cant really describe how happy i feel so thats wit its short but i enjoy this game and ope they keep steady to improve

SFIV Pro's and Con's
On the bright side, the game itself is an amazing comeback of the old school SF players with a refreshing twist of skills and a series of challenges to help you take the most out of them.

On the dark side, the way internet fights take place are sometimes frustrating due to the lag sometimes will be experience, when on challenge mode on there's no way to decide whether or not you want to continue or actually finish the fight you are on.

Things I will love to see, have the game be multi console so that you can play with guys from PC, PS3 and Xbox

Can't wait for the release of the new toons.

Eye Candy
Combine great gfx with a new fighting system along with
classic sf2 gameplay and online matches = SF4

The new characters arent that impressive especially
the new boss and the story and character voices are
not very good, but that are only minor grips.

Overall 4 out of 5. Buy it now.

Street Fighter IV MadCatz Bundle

Street Fighter IV MadCatz Bundle

I really miss games. I miss those games that made you sit for hours and hours trying to improve your technique or shave that 1/100th of a second off your record lap. I miss those games that remained classics, even if it was released on a console 15 years ago and the reason for that is very simple. You earned your achievement.

Street Fighter IV is a modern game with a premise like that. Your rewards when playing a game like this are not some CG rendered cutscene/ending but sheer gameplay. You take your choice of character into battle armed with a few simple combinations then you start searching for that extra hit in a combo. You work out your opponents' strategies and counter those to overcome them. I am simply loving this game for all the right reasons!!!

The programming for the most part is excellent but not perfect. Graphics and character voices are amazing! I really love of these backgrounds but still wanted each character to have their "home" stage as in previous incarnations of Street Fighter.
The characters are great! All 12 World Warriors, 2 Super Steet Fighters, Gen & Rose, 4 new characters and Akuma, Gouken & Seth once you unlock them! I do find the idea of Capcom adding T. Hawk and Dee Jay rather appealing but the roster as is is well balanced and has enough variety.
The one character who I do find slightly out of place is Seth. Cheap has a new king and Seth is he! His teleporting ability is not at home in a Street Fighter (Dhalsim's has better balance) game and neither is his ludicrous Ultra Combo! It belongs in the X-Men franchise, not here. But it does add to the sense of achievement once you beat him on the HARDEST setting. I still think M. Bison is the best final boss in the series to date.

The cut scenes to me somewhat spoil the overall sheen of the game. They really are crap. Perhaps spending time and creating endings similar to the Rival Encounter scenes would've felt better. It's a minor gripe but if Capcom release a Street Fighter IV: Championship Edition, they should look at this.

The controller is nice and does a capable job. However, this controller will not find a place as a legendary one. Sega Genesis & Saturn controllers and the untouchable Ascii 6 Button Fighting pads still remain the benchmark. It is however the only controller you should consider right now.

The Games for Windows Live is a letdown to us who don't live in a supported territory. I really don't understand how gameplay elements got built around a feature the vast majority of the world can't enjoy. Sad. But to save your progress, create an offline profile.

Ultimately, I will rate this game 9.6. It is a game of sheer beauty and depth. I place it a close second to Street Fighter II.

Great game; just need a slightly higher-ended PC to run smoothyly
Street Fighter IV is overall a great game with awesome graphics and great soundtrack. The only unfortunate thing for me is that my PC can't handle the graphics requirement and therefore suffers from periods of extreme lags. So, before you get all excited for the game, check to be sure that your PC has enough power to handle it. Because of this game, I also got introduced to XboxLive/WindowsLive environment - you have to connect in order to play it seems... Can't say that I necessarily like it because I'd guess that part of the lag is due to this requirement. Wish I could just play offline.

Anyway, all that aside, 5 stars for this game! The controller is also quite suitable for the game. :)

Incredible Game and Good Controller
Street Fighter IV is a return to form for CAPCOM as they have produced a game that not only has the old Street Fighter feel but features new and evolved gameplay. First off the gameplay is still 2d but many of the characters and moves have been slightly tweaked from older versions of Street Fighter. Both the casual gamer and enthusiast will enjoy Street Fighter IV as it is the classic "easy to play, difficult to master" game.

The extra features added to the game like online play and trial modes give the game needed boosts for Street Fighter to keep pace in the new millennium. Online play is great with little lag while trial modes reward you for using every character. Gameplay and feature there is almost nothing to detract from this game. Performance wise the game runs on my 3 year old machine at max settings and max resolution with zero slowdown (even with 16x AA enabled).

The MadCatz controller that comes bundled with this game is good but could be a little more sturdy - it has held up after heavy use, but its not made of the same high quality materials as a normal 360 controller. It has a floating D-Pad and 6 face buttons like the old Sega Genesis controller - making it a lock for any fighting game. I would definitely consider it the best contoller I have for any fighting games and playing emulators (driver support is built into windows xp standard).

Overall I believe if you do not have a Fightpad and you want to play Street Fighter IV or emulators you should get this bundle as its reduced price on both the game and Fightpad make this an excellent deal.

Seems like a knockoff of earlier incarnations!
I guess I was expecting more 3d or something else looks like Street Fighter Alpha!

The ability to choose multiple characters makes this a fun game to play also the controller is nice however to pull off the difficult moves it would be easier with a fight stick. I don't like the d-pad at all have to press really hard to actually pull off the difficult moves. I have not been able to unlock the final two characters yet. I'm also very disappointed that I have to log onto windows live on startup each time. That is a real pain especially since you want to play solo at times without being bothered by this.

I also had problems playing this the first time the DRM of the disc said I didn't have DMA turned on my dvd drive, but I did so I had to turn it on and off again before I was able to play this game.

If you are on a budget I would buy the regular version without the controller and then invest in a good stick for this game.

Except for these minor qualms I am very satisfied with this game its fun and it has lots of eye candy and hidden character to make you not want to put it down. If for whatever reason you get sick of it you can accept challenges and fight anyone. As soon as I turn it on someone always wants to challenge me I don't even have time to blink when the game gets old in a couple of years the challenges will be infrequent so enjoy it now while you can.

The reasons I gave it a 4 is for all those reasons cited above plus it takes about 4 some odd gig of disk space so if you have a small drive be warned I installed this on my Windows 7 test 40 gig partition and I had only 12 gigs and now with the game installed I only have 8 now.

Just the best fighting game
I've always been a Street Fighter addict.

I like some other fighting games but none of them is as good as SF4.

It's fun, balanced, impressive!

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

This is my first experience playing a computer game for any length of time. I LOVE it. This game is extremely addictive. As a huge Harry Potter fan, I can tell you that every time you put the CD in your computer, you feel like you're at Hogwarts. The graphics are great, and many cast members lent their voices. There is so much to see and do in this game, and if you are new to the gaming experience, this is a great way to learn.

It does play pretty slowly in my PC--I had to lower the resolution and close any other programs running, but it's still very fun.

HP & HBP computer game
My 9 year old daughter and I have both had lots of fun playing this game.

Always a great gift
I ordered this game for my little brother as a Christmas present. He loves all of the Harry Potter games, and they are done so well in the PC format. I have no doubt that the graphics on this will even surpass the last.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
It's an O.K. game not the greatest but not the worst either. I've played much better games, but overall I would recommend this game to others. That is if you like Harry Potter or are a fan.

Fallout 3 Collector's Edition

Filed Under (Action Games Reviews) by admin on 05-07-2009

There is a lot that I could say about Fallout 3 in praise of it - too much in fact! Game review sites have more than covered it so I'm not going to try to outdo them. Instead I'll try allaying concerns that people might have about the game. Rest assured that it is as good as it is. In a world filled with sword, sandal and sorcery RPGs, it's really nice to see something very different.
Comments:

Technical
-----------
1. The DRM isn't an issue in my experience. It works unobtrusively and hasn't caused me problems so far.
2. It has it's fair share of bugs. I'm not condoning putting less than perfect code out for people to buy but one must remember that it is a huge game - not every bug will be caught. The Fallout 3 Wiki
[...]
will have suggestions on how to deal with bugs. So far, no bug has been game breaking.
3. The game has no performance issues on a clean machine. However the ffdshow codec may cause issues - you can fix this by telling ffdshow to not use its codecs for Fallout 3. Look here for step by step instructions:
[...]
4. Fallout 3 has issues with Vodei Multimedia Processor. If you have Vodei installed, it'll cause Fallout 3 to freeze ingame for a few seconds every thirty seconds or so. Vodei is malware as far as I can tell - get rid of it to fix your Fallout 3 freezing issues.

Gameplay
---------
1. VERY IMPORTANT: To truly enjoy Fallout 3, you must resist the temptation to Fast Travel. Walking from point to point really changes things as you'll find yourself getting worn out in multiple random encounters. It sounds undesirable but in realty this makes the game feel far more realistic and compelling. You're not super powered anymore.
2. Of the five expansions, Broken Steel and Point Lookout are amazing. The Pitt and Mothership Zeta are decent. Operation Anchorage is really bad except for the first mission which is simply amazing. Unfortunately, the expansions have really good rewards which can reduce the fun of playing for a low level character (think of armor so good you'll never need another set - where's the fun in that?) Therefore, it is advised to play the expansions at a higher level (24+ should be fine).
3. Turn the difficulty setting to Hard or higher. Normal is too easy.

Have fun!!

Fallout 3 Collector\'s Edition

Product Description:
Fallout 3 from the creators of the award-winning Oblivion, featuring one of the most realized game worlds ever created. Create any kind of character you want and explore the open wastes of post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. Every minute is a fight for survival as you encounter Super Mutants, Ghouls, Raiders and other dangers of the Wasteland. Prepare for the future.
Amazon.com:
The third game in the Fallout series, Fallout 3 is a singleplayer action role-playing game (RPG) set in a post-apocalyptic Washington DC. Combining the horrific insanity of the Cold War era theory of mutually assured destruction gone terribly wrong, with the kitschy naivety of American 1950s nuclear propaganda, Fallout 3 will satisfy both players familiar with the popular first two games in its series as well as those coming to the franchise for the first time.

Age Of Empires Collector's Edition (Limited Edition)

Filed Under (Action Games Reviews) by admin on 03-07-2009

I've had the original of this series for I don't know how many years... It's always been fun to play. I've had the second one (Age of Kings) for slightly less time. As much fun Age of Kings is, I had no idea how much fun The Conquerors would be. I've never played it before.

Anyway, one of the great things about this series is that no matter how many times you play, it just keeps getting better. Right after I got this set from Amazon, I literally spent 4 hours playing a single "Standard Game" in Conquerors... There are a few things in Age of Kings that kinda bug me, and there are things I miss in the original from the second. Things like the idle villager button. The 200 population limit is another.

In Conquerors I just finished the Montezuma campaign. More fun than I've had in a long time in a campaign. Usually I do death match or random map.

In a nutshell, this game is HIGHLY recommended!

Don't let Amazon fool you into not being able to send this title to a PO box... If they give you crap, call 'em. In my area, if the PO box isn't on it, they post office will return it. Fortunately my billing address had it and was visible.

The condition of the case was a little bit to be desired. All but about 3 tabs holding the CDs were broken and fell out on the table as soon as I opened it. I recommend buying from Wal-Mart or some walk-in store if you care about the case very much.

Oldie but Goodie.. A+
First played this game as a freshman in college...was love at first site. The game never gets old..even comes with AOE2. and with the price how can you argue!? Even with all the new games out nowadays this game still holds its own. Even more fun when you play with friends online or use the awesome cheat codes! Dont pass it up

Age of Empires
Only came with a CD and no manual (which would of been good to have).

Speedy delivery A++

BEST GAME OF ALL TIME!
Age of Empires (in particular, Age of Kings: Expansion) is my favorite computer game.
I particularly enjoy playing multi-player with friends of LAN.

One thing I want to mention: BEWARE WINDOWS 7 (and I hear Windows Vista) USERS!
This will not run easily on windows 7 due to Windows Aero. There are work-arounds, but overall, the system is unstable.
XP works best. Hopefully Microsoft will release a patch for it which will allow Windows 7 to work with the game, but who knows...

If anyone knows of a patch, let me know!

Few symptoms:
won't load
bad colors in game
can't join LAN game

Old game, but still runs well
I liked this game in the 90's and I still enjoy playing it. Excellent strategy game that sparked games such as StarCraft and many others. AOE2 is included and they are great games and a must-have for any strategy gamer. The one downfall to this is the fact that the original packaging had the tech trees for each nation on paper and it's difficult to choose nations based on their technological advancement trees if you don't have the original booklet that allowed you to read an easily compare who got the Centurions or the War Elephants. (At least AOE 2 has that built into the game.) One thing that is difficult to hold against the game, but is still a drawback, is that the online matches are not hosted by Microsoft anymore and they only support that for AOE 3 these days. Gamespy can still host them though, if you wish to play online. So, cheers to them and enjoy this classic!

Overlord 2

The only thing that stayed the same was the minion controls. Completely new plot, world, magic, and laughs. I you liked overlord 1 you will love this game! Being evil is just so much fun, and now there are two completely evil paths instead good or evil. I have already beaten the game around three times, and am still enjoying it. Oh, and codemasters fixed most of the minion glitches from the previous game making the use of minions that much more fun.

Overlord II is the sequel to the hit warped fantasy action adventure that had players being delightfully despotic. In Overlord II, a new Overlord and a more powerful army of Minions take on the Glorious Empire, an advanced Romanesque nation, in a truly epic, yet familiarly warped, adventure. As the Glorious Empire conquers kingdoms and destroys any sign of magic it finds, it’s time to go Minion Maximus with a rousing cry of “Veni, Vidi, Vici” and send in the horde. The Minions return smarter, deadlier (and funnier) and are ready to fight in large scale battles that will see their wild pack mentality squaring up to the organised legions of the Glorious Empire. As ever, they’ll do anything and everything the Overlord commands of them, especially now that they can run ravage and wreck buildings and scenery. They’ve also learnt to ride: In Overlord II, Minions will be able to mount up and ride wolves and other magical creatures around the landscape and take them into battle, making our band of merry fighters faster and fiercer than ever before

Story
Overlord II picks up right where the previous game left off. In it the original overlord is no more, and in his absence the order of things have changed dramatically. The comically evil, but still deadly gremlin-like army known as Minions are lost without a leader to focus their chaotic power for good, ill or both. Yet change finally appears to be in the air. Sensing that something is afoot, the Minion horde has made its way north to the town of Nordberg. Here they find a male child the likes of which has not been seen since the coming of the original overlord. This child is obviously special, but time is short and he has much to learn. In recent days a new power has arisen, known as the "Glorious Empire." Based in Roman-like legionary tactics, the power of this new enemy is being used to take over all the relinquished territories of the old overlord, and to extinguish all the magic in the land in order to weaken all potential enemies. As the new overlord it's your task to gain all the strength and skills you can, harness the power of the Minion horde and take back what is yours.

Gameplay - Destroy or Dominate
Overlord II features a brand new corruption system that empowers players to enact their evil will through either domination or destruction. Play as a dominating Overlord and villages and people will fall under your command with rewards and benefits coming over time. Follow a destructive path, obliterating anything that stands in your way, and you’ll become a demonic lord of chaos. The choice is yours.

Manage Your Minions
Effective control your Minions was a big part of Overlord, and in Overlord II all four varieties of Minions return smarter, deadlier (and funnier) and are ready to fight in large scale battles that will see their wild pack mentality squaring up to the organized legions of the Glorious Empire. As in the previous game, they'll do anything and everything their overlord commands of them, especially now that they can run ravage and wreck buildings and scenery and each have their own specialty in combat; Browns are the main general use soldier units, Reds with their fire-throwing ability are useful for long-range combat, Greens are experts at stealth maneuvers and Blues provide support and healing to other Minions. In addition, they've also learned a powerful new skill, how to ride. Three of the four kinds of Minions feature exclusive mounts: Browns on wolves, Greens on giant spiders that can climb walls and the Reds on salamanders. Atop their mounts these merry fighters are faster, and stronger than ever before.

Multiplayer Options
Along with a robust single player campaign Overlord II features a wealth of multiplayer play options. Players will enjoy four unique multiplayer campaigns in co-op and versus modes both online and offline, each with their own unique maps. These include:

  • Co-op Modes:
    • Arena Survival – Two players, both as overlords with their own minions, help each other stay alive as they battle against wave after wave of enemies coming at them in an arena setting.
    • Kill A General – Two players, both as overlords with their own minions, go through a series of lands together on a mission to kill a Glorious Empire general.
  • Versus Modes:
    • Treasure Hunt – Two overlords and their minion armies square off against each other to collect gold and other treasure. Whichever overlord has the most treasure at the end of this timed contest wins.
    • King Of The Hill/Capture The Flag – Two overlords and their minions face each other on a battlefield with several hills with flags on top of them. Whoever captures the most flags at the end of this timed event is the winner. Creatures from the overlord world are also on the battlefield wreaking havoc adding an even greater challenge to victory.
Laughter on the Battlefield
Written by award-winning games writer, Rhianna Pratchett, Overlord II puts the laughter into slaughter and continues the series’ trademark humor, playing on the mischievous physical comedy of the minion’s antics with a sprinkling of parody for good measure.

Features:
  • Storyline and action permeated by by the Overlord series trademark physical comedy and parody.
  • Browns, Reds, Blues and Greens return stronger, smarter, faster badder and funnier. Always on the chaotic side of organised anarchy, the Minions are smarter and deadlier in their skills than ever before.
  • Minions will be able to mount up and ride wolves and other magical creatures around the landscape and take them into battle
  • Written by award-winning games writer, Rhianna Pratchett, Overlord II puts the laughter into slaughter and continues the series¿ trademark humour

Halo 2

I have been playing this game on pc for well over 1 year and i still do. Its a huge change from the Xbox to the pc. Many people complain that oh it sucks or that u need all these system requirements. First of all a GeForce 6100 is very very affordable and they can be found in computers from like 6 years ago. Im currently running Windows 7 with the Core i7, 9800gtx+, and 6gb of ram. the game runs flawlessly with no problems what so ever and if you guys complain that your computer cant run it then i strongly say that you either buy a new computer or add some stuff to upgrade it and not day that this game sucks when really its ur pc to blame. This game is really fun and its a classic and i will always play it!

halo2
Excellent game, same as halo, i do wish the game was a little bit longer to play, the online part is no fun for me, preferred same as pc to have more fun with game, but as it turns out its a PvP, which i am not into.

Not worth installing Windows 7 for.
Installed Windows 7 on a partition just for this game. Wasn't nearly as much fun as the original Halo. Got kinda bored with it early and even less impressed with Windows 7. Might be ok for rookies, but its obtuse for a power user.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game

I'd been interested in this game since it was announced and became even more intrigued once I saw some of the gamwplay footage. The only problem was I couldn't play it, and even after I got a new computer that was more than capable of running it, I was still skeptical as to whether it would run or not, given the horror stories from people who were having trouble installing it and getting it to run smoothly due to the broken installer, Securom, and other issues. If your unsure wether the game will run on your computer I'd reommend making sure your computer specs meet the ideal settings and then downloading it from Steam to get around the Securom issue. I did this and haven't had a problem with the game.

The game is fun and features graphics comparable to the XVox 360 and PS 3 versions of the game, with a story set 2 years after the last movie and all of the original Ghostbusters lending their voices to the game. I liked Ernie Hudson as Winston best since he shouted the majority of his "in game" lines which nade them easy to hear over the din of proton streams and attacking ghosts. In other video games I've played, "in game" lines are usually recited with a studio monotone rather than with an urgency that fits with what is happening on screen, so it was a nice change of pace. Hudson also speaks in a relaxed natural tone during the cut scenes which makes it easy to hear everything he's saying, unlike Bill Murray, who delivers the majority of his lines in a sarcastic mumble. Of all the actors he's the one who sounds the oldest and the least like he wanted to do the game. The dialouge is pretty sharp and varied, so you won't get stuck hearing the same lines repeatdly unless your faced with one of the game's rare puzzles, in which case the team will shout at you to "use the slime tether!" and just stand there being of no use whatsoever until you figure it out. There are 7 total levels and it took me about 3 weeks to finish it. I'd say the game has about a medium level of difficulty and can get frustrating at various points during the later levels, as you are usually just teaming with one or two of the Ghostbusters per level and you can get easily ambushed by a swarm of ghosts, each of which has infinitley more health than you do, so you'll have to rely on the other Ghostbusters to revive you when you get knocked out and revive them quickly as well, otherwise you won't last long. This unfair health quotient is truly one of the more annoying aspects about the game, especially during boss fights. You'll have worked the boss' health down to next to nothing and be in position to deliver the final blow only to suffer a cheap knock down and end up on your back with your proton pack spitting sparks.

You can use an XBox 360 controller with this game but I managed to play it just fine with the keyboard and mouse setup. There's really no replay value once you finish the game and the PC version has only one save slot, so you can't go back and use weapons you accquired in later levels earlier in the game. If you want to play it again you have to start from scratch.

A good but flawed game!
I have been having a love hate relationship with this game. First the graphics and voice work by the original cast are both awesome. Hearing Bill Murray play this signature character again alone is well worth the money. Sadly this game was designed for the console kiddies and only ported to the pc with minimal attention.

First their is no save option, the game like many console games uses checkpoints. The problem with this is the game never informs you when you reach one, So your best bet is to play until you hit a load screen if you want a break. What makes this worse is the fact that the saves seem broken. I have saved at certain points and when I come back the game will skip an entire cut scene and toss you into the next mission. Very frustrating and takes away from an otherwise great game. And finally to top it off, you can not load the game from previous save points, it will only let you load from the last save point you made it to.

Some have made issues of the controls, but I really did not have any issues with targeting or trapping ghosts once you learn how. Also sadly it's worth noting that unless it unlocked after you complete the game, the pc version has no multiplayer like the console version.

Overall a fun game (about 8-10 hours) but it suffers from a poor port from the consoles. :(

Awesome game!!
After all these years we finally get an amazing Ghostbusters game that could be made into a movie (please god). The graphics are amazing, the controls are great, the voice overs by the actual actors of Ghostbusters is way cool and the story/gameplay is excellent. This game is very addictive, fun as hell, enjoyable to play, easy to play and truly feels like your training to be a Ghostbuster by the masters themselves. Love this game!
